This is a recipe adapted from one on the back of a sweetened condensed milk can. I attempted to simplify it and ended up with a sort of cookie that’s kind of all silver lining and no cloud. It borders on disgusting in its indulgence. Not for the weak-minded.

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker, crumbled
  • 1 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
  • Approximately 4 1/3 cups chips. These are as creative as I’ve gotten in this department:
    • Chocolate chips.
    • White chocolate chips.
    • Peanut butter chips. (There are Reese’s branded peanut butter chips. What the hell?)
    • Mint chips.
You could probably use other (non-chip) stuff, too. That might make these a little less than deathly.

Preheat oven to 350°F (or 325° if you’re using a glass pan). Melt butter in 13” x 9” baking pan.

Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter.

Pour sweetened condensed milk over crumbs.

Top with chips. Press down firmly with fork.

Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned (or something). Cool. Chill if desired. Cut into bars or diamonds. Store at room temperature.
